How to upload file attachment in WordPress?

We always used “Add an Image” icon to upload image into our post. But how do we upload a file? Actually WordPress editor does provide handy function for us to upload a file.
In WordPress Editor, click on “Add Media” icon. This function is used to upload some file like text file or zip file to let user download it.


After uploaded the file, it will provide us a link URL to download the file.

Ya… i’m been using the FTP upload all the time also, until i saw the small icon in the wordpress post editor
